Exploring the homes of some flower lovers | how to celebrate the summer with flowers

Summer is the season for flowers. This time of year brings with it the most beautiful flowers in bright and bold colours. Five interior design content creators share how they incorporate summer flowers into their homes.

“In the summer I like to distribute flowers throughout my entire apartment. When you enter my house, you immediately look through the hallway into the living room. So, I like to display luscious and eye-catching bouquets to immediately put me in a good mood after a long working day. My favourite summer flowers? So difficult to choose. But right now, I'm a huge fan of flowers in shades of yellow: thistles, chamomile and sunflowers are very high on my love-list. My all-time favourites are Callas, peonies and hydrangeas.”

“I can't live without flowers in the summer! Because I don't have a garden or a balcony, I style everything with flowers. They provide a freshness and colour in the house and make me feel so happy. I am a big fan of gladioli and I also love bouquets with wildflowers like poppies or cornflowers.” The bouquet you see in the photo is the Original

“Whatever the season, flowers always put me in a good mood. We don’t have much decoration in the house, but we always have flowers. Preferably in all kinds of bright colours together in one vase. Sometimes all you need are a few stems to transform a home. My favourite summer flowers have always been cornflowers and dahlias. They remind me of where I grew up – cornflowers grow on the edge of the fields in my homeland.”

” I often add more colour to the house in the summer. I do this by adding interior accessories and flowers. The colours in a fresh bunch of flowers make me so happy: it inspires me to add more colour in my home. I love all flowers, but sweet William (Dianthus 'barbatus') stands out for me at the moment with its beautiful pink colour.”
